Now that you can identify the characteristics and understand the challenges facing students with ASD, Lurie teaches how to create a classroom that builds a bridge between Autism and the typical world. In this course, she defines Structured Teaching and provide explanations and concrete examples of a four-part structured teaching pyramid that accounts for each student’s individual attention span, level of distraction, cognition, and individual interests by:
